Construction of Two Five-Star Hotels in Amaravati!
New Tourism Policy Focusing on PPP Model to Be Implemented from 2025
The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has announced plans for the construction of two five-star hotels in Amaravati, spearheaded by the Oberoi Group. Minister of Tourism Kandula Durgesh highlighted that a new tourism policy will be developed, focusing on public-private partnerships (PPP), which is expected to be implemented from 2025.
In addition to the hotels, various tourism projects will be developed along the riverfront in Amaravati. A conclave is also set to be organized soon, where the new environmentally friendly and development-focused policy will be discussed. The state will implement schemes like Swadeshi Darshan and Prasad.
Minister Durgesh criticized previous tourism ministers, including Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, for not contributing constructively to tourism development, stating that they wasted time on criticism instead of meaningful work. He emphasized that the state is currently executing integrated projects and noted that temple tourism has been 90% successful in running operations.
