Andhra CM Should Apologize, Says YSRCP Chief After Supreme Court Verdict on Tirupati Laddu Controversy

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Demands Apology from Naidu After SC Orders Independent Probe into Tirupati Laddu Adulteration Allegations

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday demanded an apology from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu after the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Tirupati laddu controversy. Welcoming the Court’s decision to form an independent Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations of using animal fat in the preparation of Tirupati laddus, Jagan stated that Naidu owes the people of Andhra Pradesh an apology.

In a press conference, Jagan expressed that the Supreme Court’s directive to cancel the SIT appointed by the Andhra CM reflects Naidu’s “true picture.” He further criticized Naidu, saying, “When the Supreme Court has made such comments, if he has any devotion towards God, he should apologize to the people and pray to Lord Venkateswara for his mistake.” He also accused the TDP of spreading misinformation through social media instead of taking accountability.

The Supreme Court’s decision also outlined that the newly formed SIT would consist of two officials from the CBI, two from the Andhra Pradesh Police, and a senior official from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), with the probe being supervised by the CBI Director.

Chandrababu Naidu, meanwhile, welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision on his social media account, acknowledging the direction of the independent probe.
